Doncaster's Ferryboat fishery was the venue for this years fishing contest.
Most of the usual suspects were in attendance and the weather put its shiny face on.
As the match fell on the same day as England were due to play their opening game in the world cup marshals Ron and Dick erected a huge gazebo and had multi screen TVs installed for the expected large turn out.
16 anglers made their way to the river bank on a sunny Saturday morning to fight it out for the three main prizes.
Cometh the hour, cometh the man or woman or junior, and top dogs this year were, Byron Fitchett winner of the junior section, whilst Lyn Mitchell out fished the ladies and many of the men to take the ladies section , with Ron (Pikey) Watterson winning the main event.
All in all a great weekend, thanks to all who helped.
