Changes and updates to Rallies are now on the Rally Changes Pages

Children's Party Needs You     (updated 15/11/08)

This year, as every year, the Chairman's Lady runs the traditional Tomballa at the Bonfire Rally in aid of the Children's Christmas Party, and this year was no exception

Over £157 was raised toward the Children's Christmas Party.

However due to your generosity in donating so many fantastic prizes, the Tombola will be back in action over the Christmas Party weekend.

Please Support the additional opportunity to rasie money for the party and if you have any seasonal  items, or chocolate (Kat made me write that) please let us have them. So as before go on try it out out - It could be your lucky day.

The Tombola will run on Friday evening and Saturday up to the end of the Children's Party.

Holland Easter 2009        (updated 15/11/08)

Jeff and Michelle Howard are running the Easter Away Rally next year to Holland, between 10th a& 18th April.

The location is Delftse Hout, located close to Amsterdam and Rotterdam

There are 20 places available, which are bound to go quickly, so don't miss your chance.  For more information, call Michelle on 01773 530537

Dave & Tracey Haseldine        (added 21/10/08)

Centre members Dave and Tracy Haseldine tied the knot on Saturday 11th October at St Marys Church Greasley.  

Many Centre members attended Dave and Tracy's wedding, which was announced after Tracy proposed to Dave at last year's Christmas Party.  Best wishes go out to the happy couple.

Rallies Requiring Marshals   (added 9/10/08)

The following rallies still need marshals:

10 – 14 April  Easter Weekend – Duke of York, Flagg
this rally was suggested as a 4 night rally to coincide with Flagg races on the Tuesday.

 If would like to marshal an Easter rally other than the above please contact Lesley and we can arrange another venue.

29 – 31 May  Priestfield Grange, Old Brampton, Chesterfield.
Lesley Gregory has all the information for a visit to Brampton Brewery.

There are also dates where no rally has been organised – if you can think of a venue and would like to fill one of these gaps in the programme please contact Lesley before 24 October.
The dates available are:  14 August, 21 August, 20 November,

AGM    (updated 9/10/08)

The Derbyshire Centre AGM was held over the weekend of October 3rd - 5th 2008 in Ashover Village Hall.

France Summer Rally 2009    (updated 23/9/08)

Next years summer holiday rally in France will soon be open for booking
The Rally dates are August 15th - August 29th 2009
The Rally is being held at Le Serignan Plage near Beziers on the Mediterranean coast.

The Rally is being Marshalled by Carl Barratt whose contact details can be found on page 44 of the 2008 rally book.

Carl has now released further details below :

"We now have the prices available for the Summer 2009 holiday to Southern France, days trips are still to be confirmed.  We now have confirmed prices which are listed below.

 There is only one point to note is that the prices below are based on an exchange rate of €1.18 to £1.00, if the exchange rate drops any lower than this then your price could go up slightly.  

We have limited this rally to 20 pitches and we have already received a number of enquiries on this, if you wish to book this rally please send your deposit of 25% (non-refundable) listed below to Carl and if you wish to be by friends please ensure that you list this on your booking form as we will be allocating pitches as soon as we have confirmation of the pitch numbers.  Please also include a telephone number and an email address and we will either telephone you or email you to confirm that you have been booked onto the rally.

These prices do not include any ferries and this would need to be booked separately

Scotland Winter Rally 2009    (added 23/9/08)

Bookings are now being taken for next winters holiday rally in Scotland 
The rally runs between Feb 14th and 21st 

The rally is being run at Grantown on Spey - a departure from previous years.
Marshals, Phil & Christine Hall, & Carol and John Patilla, are planning to organise a Sunday Breakfast, and possibly a social, dependent on numbers.

Local attractions include Aviemore, Skiing, Factory Shop, Whiskey trail and Local Pubs

A £10 deposit will be required to reserve your booking (cheques Payable to the Caravan Club - Derbyshire Centre).  Contact the marshals for more information, or to book onto the rally.

Rally Plaques    (updated 9/10/08)

The centre now has a new plaque supplier.

As part of this change, the images used for the plaques have changed too.

Details, and reference number for the new images can be found by clicking here

Marshals should quote the number of new images when ordering.  

There is an order form which may assist you in obtaining the plaques you require. 
Orders for plaques must be made through the Hon Sec, and not made directly with the supplier.

At present, to ensure delivery before your rally, Marshals should continue to order plaques 3 weeks in advance

Plaques should be ordered through Clive Slawson, whose contact details are on Page 35 of the 2008 rally book.
