Help and Assistance for Marshals The pages below are intended to help marshals in running rallies. There are forms to download and some helpful guidance. Let us know what you think...... In addition, there are Marshals Notes issued with each Rally Pack. Caravan Spacing
Marshals should ensure that they comply with the instructions in the Marshals notes when pegging out the rally field. As a guide the following applies.... "The minimum spacing for flags is 10 yards (9.2 metres) between Caravan Pitches with 15 yards (13.8 metres) between rows of pitches, if space permits, allow more room between vans and rows. This can be reduced on hard-standing sites where awnings are not possible.
Typical
measurements being 8 yards (7.3 metres) between pitches and 12 yards (11 metres)
between rows. Acceptable behaviour for rally social events
We appreciate that marshalling a
rally can be a lot of hard work. It is made all the harder if your work
goes unappreciated or, worse still, if a member makes a complaint about your
rally. We would like to take this
opportunity to ask that when you organise any social event for your rally,
indoors or out, that you take into consideration the ages of the members present
and their sensibilities. We have to request that no activities
take place that may be regarded as offensive on equality, racial, religious or
sexual grounds, and that a sensible attitude is taken to activities that may
cause offence in regard to offensive language such as the playing of sexually
explicit songs or those with swearing in them, etc. If you would like to discuss the
above or have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the
Committee. SMOKING ON CENTRE SOCIALS
Following the January 2006 Committee Meeting, the Committee has decided that
in future all indoor events organised by the Committee will be none
smoking , regardless of whether food is being served or not. Smokers are asked
to smoke outside the premises used for the social or the meeting. This does not apply to non-committee run socials, as this has not been taken through an AGM by a member’s motion. Until this happens, it is at the discretion of individual marshals as to whether smoking is allowed on their socials or inside buildings used, unless the landowner forbids smoking. Rally Plaques Due to changes with our supplier, Rally Plaques must now be order 3 full weeks in advance of your rally. Please ensure you contact the Hon Sec in good time to receive your order. As part of this change, the images used for the plaques have changed too. Details,
and reference numbers for the new images can be found by clicking
here To assist in the ordering process, there is a new order form as well. Click here to download it, as it will assist you in obtaining the plaques that you want. |
