AGM Traditionally held over the first weekend of October, this is for the Centre the most important weekend in the calendar. This is the weekend that the new Teenage and Senior Committee's are elected ..... Now this may sound dull to you, but the weekend always goes with a real buzz. Friday evening sees the hall open for everyone to catch up with news, stories and gossip, whilst at the same time the annual photographic competition is held. To enter this, just bring along your pictures on the night, there are classes for adults and children, and for pictures with, or without caravans......... The highlight of the evening is the judging for the Rally book cover photograph, that highly converted award ....... Saturday afternoon, its the turn of the teenagers to hold their AGM, followed in the evening by the eve of AGM Social. Another fine occasion to dance late into the evening and let someone else do the cooking, Always a good evening, with great entertainment, an evening not to be missed....... 10AM Sunday and the main business of the weekend really begins, with the Centre AGM. Here the previous years is reviewed, finances examined and the new committee elected. This is your centre and your AGM. All members are entitled to attend and vote on any motions and for the new committee. This is democracy at work within your centre. |
